Teenagers Undergoing Orthodontic Treatment

Dr. Nadia recommends teenagers and children undergoing orthodontic treatment (braces) should have a cleaning done, every 3 months to avoid plaque build-up, cavities, white spots & inflammation of the gums.

Helpful hints for orthodontic patients:

1) Use a small children’s toothbrush, to clean around braces easily

2) Dr. Nadia highly recommends a water pick or other flossing aids such as floss threaders

3) Highly consider using a fluoride mouth rinse such as Act, 2 times a day (Morning and Night)

4) Lastly, carry a tooth brush with you at all times (to brush after meals)
